Nez Perce Hotel

"Return of the Home Cooked Meal!"

As you know, we try to do all of our Rallyes on the ‘Blue Line’ highways of the Pacific Northwest.  Once in a while
we come across a special place. Here is one for all of us doing the back roads of the PNW on bikes, on foot, or
motorcycles, not to mention Thing Rallyes.

THE NEZPERCE HOTEL in Nez Perce, Idaho is off the well-beaten Highway 95 corridor from where it enters Idaho
near Jordan Valley Oregon, goes north through New Meadows, Idaho and on up to Lewiston, Moscow, and the
Canadian Border.  This area is one of the best kept secrets for the best scenery and roads you can ask for.  The prairie
is strikingly beautiful with the undulating fields of wheat, barley, canola, peas and other crops, beautifully punctuated
by timbered canyons.

If you are into photography, the light and shadow along with the sunrise and sunsets will yield amazing photos.
Many magazines have featured pictures from this locale. The small towns are about 8 miles apart because in the
old days, horses needed to be watered about every 8 miles. Trust me, it’s worth  it to take the drive.

The NEZPERCE is owned and operated by the Ivie family.

Danny & PatiAnn. The place has a long interesting history that PattiAnn and Danny can tell you about.
The neat thing is when you come in off the road the Serenity Cafe is on the main floor with very good
authentic home-cooked meals.

On the same floor is the Clover Club Lounge which has a home town watering hole atmosphere and draft beer on tap. Perfect after a long day of driving or pushing pedals. They have 8 hotel rooms available.

A view of the restaurant. Clean, modern with great food!
