I know how hard it is to find a Thing for sale that has been upgraded and is ready to load up and ride. It’s time for this Thing to find a new owner to continue the adventure. Here’s the ‘scoop’ (pun intended) on it:
1974 Sunshine yellow Thing in very good condition. It’s roadworthy for highway and back country. Has an upgraded 1835cc engine, built to a compression ratio of 7.0-1 that enables it to run ethanol fuel. It has an upgraded electrical system, and rebuilt transaxle. The vinyl top and windows are in good condition, and the front seats are upgraded and reupholstered.
It comes with well thought out extras that make this Thing a great value, including high volume oil pump, electric fuel pump, custom fit roll bar, side scoops for cooling, gas line turnoff valve, heavy duty torsion bar, deluxe steering wheel, under-dash bamboo shelf, and a boosted CB radio.
