Like most of our Thing Rallyes we start at our home with the departure dinner.  This year we left Boise with 10 Things
and met two others from the west coast in Montana.

We made a fuel stop in Cascade, Idaho and then pushed through McCall, Idaho about 2 1/2 hours north of Boise.
At New Meadows, we stopped for a coffee refill and potty break.

We spent the first night in Missoula, Montana where we met up with Al & Liz along with Don & Ginger at the Guesthouse Inn .
The next morning we headed north and stopped at museums and other interesting places.

We had a nice stop at this antique/junk store on the way to Whitefish, Montana.  Storm was building.

With 28 people in our group stops for various needs are frequent. This was at the entrance to Glacier National Park.

This was “Mean Joes” first rallye so Gary, Dawn, and Brady were excited with his performance.

Everyone grouped up after gaining entrance to the park.

Sherry is on duty as the rallye photographer.

Tourists ‘gawking’ at each other.

This section of The Going To The Sun Road was closed a few hours after we had passed due to a mud slide. It was closed for two days.

Things added to the beauty.

Two of the Lockhart men with the windshield down.

Beauty the camera can’t capture.

Some tourists took pictures of our rallye in progress.

This was our stop for lunch on the Waterton side of the park.

Things at the border.

We made it to Pincher Creek, Alberta where we were based for nights. We made day trips from here to the surrounding area.

Parking at the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump was crowded. Well worth seeing this.

Next stop was at Ft McLeod

At the Prince of Wales Hotel a member of the RCMP stopped by to visit about our Things with Andrew.

One of my favorite stops.

Next day we took a tour of a coal mine near the town of Frank.  It was the Bellevue Mine.

We really got into it.  It was 32 degrees and this was a hot day.

The floor was level ….the walls of the mine were not.

The Frank Slide.  This buried 1/2 the town of Frank at 4 AM 1903. 90 people lost.

We crossed over into BC the next to last day of the rallye.  Spent the night in Cranbrook BC.  While having dinner at a local restaurant a huge storm came up and put the power out for the whole town.  Our night tarps held up pretty well and kept the water out.

Andy’s didn’t fare as well!

The rest of our Things were protected in the v shaped area of the motel we were staying at.
